1. NEW! Buying & Selling Webinar!
WALA is proud to announce the launch of our live webinar series and CD on buying and selling assisted living facilities. Selling an assisted living facility is unlike selling most other types of real estate. This fall, two webinar sessions will teach you everything you need to know about buying and selling assisted living facilities. You can log-on from your computer and phone without leaving the office. Each session is 60 minutes and will consist of a 50 minute on-line webinar hosted by Mike Collins followed by a 10 minute Q&A period. In addition, you can email anonymous questions to him at any time during the live presentation.
In the first session, Successful Assisted Living Facilities Sales - Five Things Sellers Need to Know, participants will learn:
- How to set the asking price
- How to prepare the facility for sale
- What to expect for a sale timeline
- Things to know about a buyer
- How to plan financially for life after the sale
Wednesday September 10, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. WALA Members $79; Non members $158 Late fee if registered after September 5.
The second session, Successful Assisted Living Facilities Sales - Five Things Buyers Need to Know, will feature valuable information on:
- How to find the right property
- How to finance an acquisition
- Steps to cover during due diligence
- How to make a smooth transition
- How to grow your company through acquisitions
Wednesday October 22, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. WALA Members $79; Non members $158 Late fee if registered after October 15.
Note: If you register on The WALA store for both live Webinars at the same time, WALA will ship you the CD of both seminars by November 1 free of charge as an added bonus so you can review it at your leisure.
Based on Mike Collins' highly acclaimed 2001 course about buying and selling assisted living facilities, this educational two-part series features Collins' original curriculum with current revisions to meet the changing demands of the AL world. Mike is a real estate broker and CPA specializing in the AL market. He was a partner in a family business that developed 21 AL facilities during the 90's so he knows firsthand the problems you face. To register for this event, simply visit The WALA Store at www.ewala.org and be sure to register by September 5 for Session One and October 15 for Session Two in order to avoid a late fee.
NOTE: WALA will email you important information two days before each event. Be sure to read the log-in info before the live webinar so you are prepared at 10:00 am. CD's will also be available if you are unable to attend the live webinar. CD's will include the entire presentation as presented live during the webinar, including PowerPoint, all handouts, and a certificate of attendance. CD's will be shipped after November 1 and will include both sessions. WALA Members $125; Non members $250
