  4. Joint Finance Committee Takes Action on Various LTC Proposals

Last Saturday the Wisconsin Legislature's Joint Finance Committee voted on many state budget proposals that impact long-term care providers.  Please follow the link below for a summary of those changes.

Motions (committee amendments) can be obtained by sending an e-mail request to forbes@wis-gps.com.

Please note that when Committee action on the budget bill (AB-75) is finalized this week, the bill will go to the State Assembly for action; then to the State Senate; and, then to the Governor.  The budget is supposed to be passed by both houses by June 30, 2009.

If you have further questions, please feel free to send an e-mail to Forbes McIntosh our lobbyist at the State Capitol: forbes@wis-gps.com.

  5. Baseball Player Hosted by AL Facility

A minor league baseball player is hosted in a local assisted living facility.  The story says that it is a win-win situation both for the player and for the elderly residents of the facility. Many towns have minor league players who are hosted by local families - maybe this is something for YOU to consider.
