The state Senate and Assembly both met this week - the Assembly twice - with long calendars on Tuesday and Thursday. Among the many bills that received final passage this week:

Senate Bill 417, ratification of the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact, passed in both bodies this week.

Assembly Bill 151, which would define in statutes community paramedics, community emergency medical technicians, and community emergency medical services providers, passed in the Senate this week. It previously passed in the Assembly earlier this year. Under community EMS, EMS providers could provide additional non-emergency services to help reduce hospital re-admissions, specifically targeting high-use 911 callers.

Both bills now go to the governor for his signature
