Gov. Scott Walker last week signed more than 60 bills into law, including a number of health care bills that include the following:
Assembly Bill 629:Uniform adult guardianship jurisdiction. This bill incorporates the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act into Wisconsin law with some modifications. Generally, the bill addresses court jurisdiction for guardianships of adults.
Assembly Bill 632: Alzheimer's awareness grants. This bill requires the Department of Health Services to award up to $500,000 in grants to increase awareness of Alzheimer's disease and dementia in rural and under-served urban areas.
