All applicants will be required to attend the one & one half-day training and it is the expectation that each Evaluator commit to conducting at least two accreditation reviews each year. Depending on the number of accreditation applications received, more time may be requested.

Applicants will be notified by the Diamond Program Manager within 7-10 business days regarding the status of their Evaluator application. Acceptance will be determined case-by-case based on the qualifications of each applicant.

Time Commitment & Training:

Evaluators contribute a modest amount of time to the Diamond Accreditation application review process. The actual commitment depends on the number of applications received, individual skill level of Evaluators, the complexity of your assigned organization, and whether you participate in an Accreditation Visit. For a new Evaluator, a commitment of 20-25 hours, including Evaluator training, is typical during the accreditation application cycle.

As an Evaluator, you will be required to participate in the one and one half days of training. Evaluator training familiarizes you with the Diamond Accreditation process and gives you an overview of the Three Pillars of Care. There are two trainings available per year.

Scheduled Training Dates:

Each of the trainings listed below are one and one half day commitments. All Evaluators who successfully complete the training will become part of the WALA Evaluator "pool" from which Evaluators for subsequent application cycles will be selected.

Training events are all located at the WALA office, 1414 MacArthur Rd., Madison
