  • Senate Bill 126 makes various changes to Wisconsin's pharmacy practice law and administrative rules promulgated by the Pharmacy Examining Board. Among the many bill provisions, the bill modifies the definition of "long-term care facility" to conform to a definition used in similar regulations adopted by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The definition is used in various provisions in the rules relating to prescriptions for controlled substances.
  • Assembly Bill 125 will allow pharmacists to dispense a prescription refill without a physician's authorization under certain circumstances. The refill would be limited to a seven-day supply and could not include controlled substances.
