The Task Force recommends the following through new legislation, agency action, and law enforcement resources:

1.      Blocking Suspicious Transactions to Stop Elder Financial Exploitation

2.      Elder Abuse Supplemental Incident Reports for Law Enforcement

3.      Enhancing Protections for the Elderly through Criminal Law Reforms

4.      Expedited Hearings and Testimony Preservation

5.      Specialized Elder Abuse Response Team at the Department of Justice

“WALA commends Attorney General Brad Schimel and the Task Force on Elder Abuse for recommending protections for our elderly population, “ stated Michael Pochowski, CEO of WALA.  “WALA has zero tolerance for any form of elder abuse and financial exploitation and these recommendations would provide the necessary enhanced protections for the elderly.  WALA is honored to serve on this very important Task Force.”
