Recognizing, Responding & Investigating: Abuse, Neglect & Misappropriation

Every resident in an assisted living setting has the right to be free from abuse, neglect, and misappropriation. Every administrator, owner/operator, or care team leader looks to deliver this assurance daily. Every assisted living home posts resident rights as part of this commitment. However, in any environment that involves people, situations still arise which pose serious challenges. Training your staff how to promptly recognize and respond to abuse is vital in keeping our assisted living residents free from harm. Join WALA as we help you bring these resident rights into focus!

Presented by Robert Lightfoot, RN from Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c.. Bob specializes in health care matters utilizing his clinical health care background as a Registered Nurse. He has extensive experience representing assisted living and skilled nursing facilities on regulatory and operational issues including survey and certification, licensure, audits, regulatory compliance, risk management, HIPAA compliance, contracts and transactional matters involving the buying and selling of facilities.
