Assisted Living By Hillcrest CBRF Training

Assisted Living by Hillcrest offers state approved CBRF training courses per DHS 83.20: Medication Management and Administration, Standard Precautions, First Aid & Choking and Fire Safety.  In addition to offering the four state approved courses, we offer six hours of Alzheimer’s and Dementia training to those interested.

These state required and approved courses are taught by a licensed Training Specialist at our newly designed facility, or onsite for groups of five or more.  Our goal is to help further one’s career opportunities with assisted living and provide the skill and knowledge necessary to succeed in providing the most attentive care.

Wipfli LLP

Wipfli LLP has a consultant that is a State Approved Trainer for the following sessions for CBRF: Medication Administration, Standard Precautions and First Aid/Chocking. All of these classes are state required training. Intended audience is those employed or wishing employment in a CBRF facility. All participants who pass the class will be added to the CBRF registry.

Wisconsin Caregiver Academy

The Wisconsin Caregiver Academy (University of Wisconsin- Green Bay) provides ALL FOUR State approved Train-the-Trainer courses (DHS 83.20): Medication Administration, Standard Precautions, Fire Safety and First Aid & Choking Instructor Training. The CBRF Train-the-Trainer program was developed to provide individuals with the effective skills and tools to become a State registered CBRF Instructor. In addition to the four state approved Train-the-Trainer courses, the Wisconsin Caregiver Academy is also offering a First Aid & Choking Bridge Course for those trainers who are state approved instructors of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training and wish to become certified in the new state approved CBRF specific First Aid and Choking curriculum.

We also provide Employee and Task Specific Train-the-Trainer courses (DHS 83.21 and DHS 83.22) for the following topics: Crisis Prevention/Challenging Behaviors, Individual Service Plans and Assessments, Trauma-Informed Practice and Adult Learning Principles in Communication: The Power of Nonverbal Cues and Body Language.Resident Rights and, Intellectual Disabilities/Changes As We Age.
