As we have been communicating over the past couple of weeks, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) proposed a 5% rate increase into the Family Care program. That proposal was submitted to the legislative Joint Committee on Finance (JFC) for a 14-day passive review. As proposed, the rate increase would be funded by the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and effective January 1st. In addition, the managed care organizations (MCOs) would be required to pass through the 5% rate increase to providers.
We are pleased to report the proposal has been approved.
We are grateful to Governor Evers and the state legislature’s Joint Committee on Finance for approving this much needed rate increase. You can read the JFC approval letter here along with our press release here.
