Shift runs from 11am-9pm

Rotating schedule

  • Week 1: work Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat (40 hours)
  • Week 2: work Sun/Wed/Thur (30 hours)

Double staffed from 11am - 5pm, single staffed from 5pm-9pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and assistance to 2 male residents and 2 female residents in an Adult Family Home setting
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting (2 full care, 2 verbal assistance)
  • Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed. Meals are cooked during night shift but need to be trayed and prepared.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of mechanical lifts as necessary (one resident is wheelchair bound)
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals
  • Promote resident rights and ensure a safe and supportive environment

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transferring residents
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to provide quality care
